Obus

In February 2020, Australian fashion brand, Obus released their new Autumn collection OLANA x OBUS, featuring the playful and heart-warming imagery of Ethiopian-born, Melbourne-based artist Olana Janfa.

To celebrate, they launched an online Art Auction to raise money for our education projects in Ethiopia. The Art Auction featured artworks from six talented Australian artists, including Emma Gale, Casey Burrill, Jasmine Mansbridge and Zan Wimberley, who all traveled to Ethiopia with Create Impact in 2019. Through this event Obus raised almost $12,000, that enabled us rebuild and repair classrooms at Medaghi primary school.

Then in 2023, Obus launched their OBUS x CREATE IMPACT limited edition collection that celebrated creativity & storytelling – and featuring drawings by kids from the Segno Gebeya primary school in Ethiopia! Proceeds from this collab all go back towards supporting the community of Segno Gebeya.
